I don't know exactly how it happened, but somehow, he just potty-trained himself. It was like a miracle. I honestly thought that the stories you heard about kids potty-training themselves were just urban legends, but as it turns out, it really can and does happen. I am the very lucky recipient of one of those amazing children. I should have posted it forever ago, because he's been in "Big Boy Undies" for a month and a half now. He is so fun, and I am so thankful that he is such a little smarty! I love him in underwear too, his little bum is so fun to pinch!
Here are some of the funnier things Aidan has said and done over the last few months.
Today, we were in the car and I had one of the kids tapes playing. An annoying song came on and Aidan said, in a snotty voice, " I hate this!", to which I said, "Aidan, please talk nice!" and he said, "Ok, Mom", then in a very soft and "nice" voice he said, " i hate this." Apparently he thought I didn't like the "way" he said it.
He is way into being "naked". If his shirt is off, he instantly starts to run around saying" I NAKED-MAN". Apparently he's one of the slightly less well known of the super-heroes, but his powers of making me laugh are unparalleled!
Earlier this week, I overheard him in the next room, playing with his "guys" and telling them very heatedly over and over again, "That not fair! THAT NOT FAIR!!!". I think they had it coming personally, those "guys" never seem to play fair!
Today we had a friend come over to play with Ethan after school. Her name is Sydney. Aidan and I were on our way to pick Ethan and Sydney up from preschool and I was explaining to Aidan that Sydney would be coming over to play. Aidan is struggling quite a bit with his "His vs. Hers and He's vs. She's". It's hard to get straight when you only have brothers. So, I told Aidan that Sydney was coming home with Ethan and Aidan said, "Sydney? Him's coming to play at my home?" and I said, "She's coming to play." to which, he said, "She's Him's coming to play at my home?". I was laughing, but even harder when after 10 minutes, I still could not get him to repeat it the right way. He is such a nut!
His latest thing he says all the time now is, "I don't wuv you Mom." and then almost instantly, "I do wuv you Mom." Shoot, I love this kid!
