Baby # 4 is now weaned and I am ready to start losing some of my baby poundage. I have 10 pounds to be back to pre-baby weight, or about 13 to be where I would like to ideally be.
I bought myself a cute little shirt at Target yesterday, knowing that it wouldn't fit. It's hanging prominently in my closet in the hopes that it will give me extra motivation. It has helped so far today. Even though I'm hungry, I don't feel tempted to break my diet because I desperately want to fit into that cute little shirt! Not to mention the twenty or so others that are sitting in a box in my closet that I haven't worn in over a year and a half.
My diet is "Weight Watchers", which I haven't signed up for, of course, but I have all of my Mom's papers from when she joined a few years ago and I am tracking my points like crazy. I had only eaten fruits and vegetables today until a minute ago when I tallied up my points and realized that I was barely using any at all. I decided to have a little treat and had 13 Cheez-it crackers for a little snack. Working in the Day Care with all of the kids fun snacks is going to kill me off.
For exercise I plan to run, like always. I love running, but I'm also having a hard time being motivated to run knowing that I'm headed into fall/winter. My favorite time to run is early, around 6 or 6:30, but the days are getting shorter, so that's not ideal (not a fan of running in the dark all alone). Not to mention the fact that when I really get running, I want to run for at least 3 or 4 miles a day and I don't have that kind of time because kids start to show up for Day Care at 7:30. Add to that, the fact that I rarely get to bed before 11pm these days, because my house is always a disaster when I come back upstairs in the evenings, and you can see why I'm having a motivation problem, right? I'm going to try to start running in the evenings, we'll see how that goes.
Now, back to the title of my post. If you must leave a comment, please let it be something scary, like: "Get your butt in gear!", or "It's about time!", or "We're watching and you'd better be losing weight!". You MAY NOT leave me a comment that says anything to the effect of, "You don't need to diet, you don't need to exercise" blah blah blah and crap like that, ok? The last thing I need is to feel an extra lack of motivation!!! (did that make sense?) If you can't do it, then KEEP YOUR COMMENTS TO YOURSELF!

Thank goodness you got the memo you fat pig! I was hoping you would start dieting soon. I mean, I didn't want to say anything (subtle hints like bringing peaches is as bold as I'm gonna get) but it's about time. And come on, you've had 4 kids? Looks more like you've had 14. Seriously I think you could lose like 40 or 50 lbs. Then maybe we could be friends. Call me when you want a piece of cake and I'll remind you of how fat you are... That's what true friends are for :)
PS--I'm NOT keeping my comments to myself. No siree.
Saedi, I just want you to know that I am laughing my head off right now. I love you to death, and I love the post you just made. I have been feeling not motivated in just about every area of my life right now and I think your post is something I may need to do. (By the way, I am not leaving this comment to get comments from you either.) :) I really think the buying a cute shirt too small is genius. Anyway, I need to start exercising too. I wish I could be your running buddy so we could help motivate each other. That was fun WAY back in the day. Thanks for motivating me by your post. I think we need to come up with some plan like the goals so we can motivate each other. It could be something totally different but motivating. Let you know if you have any ideas. Love you! PS- When you lose wight I will notice. :)
Ok, Saedi, I am in the same place as you now that I had my baby. I need to lose 20-25 lbs. I plan on doing P90x. We can encourage each other. There is nothing worse than feeling fat! Good luck with losing your weight. You can do it!!
Your funny Sadie...oh my heck when I saw you at Target I couldn't believe how much weight you had gained, maybe you should go back and buy 10 little shirts and stick them around your daycare....LOL
Actually... no rude comments from the peanut gallery here chickadee... wahahaha! I think Weight Watchers is great. It completely works when you follow it... you will get to your goal weight no problem as long as you go with the plan. Matt has been doing it 'on his own' too... (we never signed up for the plan or anything) and he has lost 30 pounds!!!! I WAS doing it... and lost about 15... and then we decided to sell our house and move... and I haven't been tracking ANYTHING during the chaos! Argh! So maybe YOU getting motivated will motivate me again??? LOL! Cause when I WAS doing the plan... it totally worked. (And you feel good too... no starving.... LOVED it!)
Best of luck girl! You'll do great!
SO, I don't have a hard time leaving you a not-so-nice comment. I mean really why has it taken you this long to realize you need to get on the ball? A year and a half seriously? Get with the program girl!
BTW, when are we getting together?
Saedi, you are killing me with this post. You are wonder woman I swear. You will reach your goal in no time. You run a day care for crying out loud! my house would always be a wreck and I'd be in bed as soon as the last kid left. running to my bed would be the only running I'd be doing.
Ditto what Aly said. You are awesome... 5lbs down and the rest is going to melt away so fast. GO SEADI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love you and miss you, BTW.
Welcome to the weight loss club Saedi. May all your weight loss dreams come true!
